John Kendrick John is what Helene calls a 'late bloomer', not beginning his dance education until about age 18. He worked very hard and learned very quickly and before long was winning all the local competitions as both a soloist and with partners, Joyce Hawkins and Deirdre Kline, including the NYS Fair Grand Prize. He then went to Las Vegas and began a very successful 11 year career as a professional dancer in the famed 'Lido de Paris' show at the Stardust Hotel, the last five years as the show's 'line captain'. John, with partner Carter Poust (who was a singer/dancer in the "Lido Show" and picture in the above photo), now own and operate the prestigious "Inn Exile" resort in Palm Springs, CA. We see John, Carter, Bill (Helene's husband...he's much better looking in person) and Helene in their 'red Mickey sweaters' vacationing at Disney World, '2001 and in Las Vegas in 2005..

Melanie Gage (Shown here with Richard Gere in the Movie "Chicago)Melanie began 'dance' with Helene at the tender age of 'three'. She progressed rapidly, winning many competitions, including DMA's Miss Dance. She began her professional career as Las Vegas's youngest show girl/dancer in the show "Abracadabra' at the Aladdin Hotel. Since that beginning, Mel, has danced on Broadway in Victor Victoria, with Julie Andrews, at Pleasure Island, Walt Disney World in Florida and now dances in and choreographs for Films, on Major Network Television, and does Commercials and Industrials from her home in Los Angeles, CA. In 2003, she appeared in the Academy Award winning film, Chicago. Currently, Mel was the 'associate choreographer for a movie shot in Germany staring Kevin Spacey in witch he plays Bobby Darin. The movie opened earlier this year. Finally, our last shot shows Mel, new arrival Jack, and Miss Helene - Summer 2005.  Congrats 'Mel' and hubby 'Dave'!

Scott Barnard Scott, appeared as a 'principle dancer' in the famed "Jubilee" show at Bally's Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas, NV for 13 years. He is well known in the Las Vegas area as a performer and choreographer. Scott also directs the famous aids benefit, "Golden Rainbow" each year in Las Vegas to rave reviews. Scott is shown here with his friend Steve and Helene during Christmas, '2002. Bye the way, Steve is a 'gourmet cook' and Scott is a 'varsity eater'.

Wendy Pasquale Wendy has been a busy professional dancer since leaving the nest with Helene. She began her career in Las Vegas in the show "Jubilee" at Bally's , went to France as a 'Bluebell Girl' in "Bravissimo"(Lido de Paris), worked on Broadway as a Radio City Rockette and also in the shows "Guys and Dolls", "42^nd Street","Crazy For You", and "The Will Rogers Follies". She has performed on several occasions with Bette Midler including the tours; 'Diva Las Vegas' & 'Experience The Divine' and has done major network Television, Films, and Modeling. Shown here as a 'Radio City Rockette'and also with her most recent producition, Bianca Jade. Bianca is now two year old and as pretty as 'Mommy'.

Marissa Rozek Marissa has performed for several years (including 2003/2004) as a Radio City Rockette , has worked Disney, and is a graduate of Point Park College's School of Performing Arts. She recently appeared in the national touring companies of 'Some Like It Hot' and 'The Scarlet Pimper-Nel.' Marissa also performed in the Broadway revival "Kiss Me Kate" as the above picture indicates (taken from the 'showbill').

Michele Krisko Michele has served as the Assistant Director at the "Helene Yelverton Dance Studio" for the past fifteen (15) years. During this period, she has distinguished herself time and time again as a teacher and choreographer and her students have one top prizes in dance competitions all over the Northeast. Michele is a member of Dance Master's of America Inc. and their Board of Directors.

Greg Daniels Greg is the 'veteran' of those HYDS graduates now dancing professionally. He began his career with the European Tour of "Chorus Line." Since then he has appeared in numerous shows, tours of Europe, Canada and the USA. He has also danced in Las Vegas and with Disney. He has also performed at the Walnut Theatre in Phillidalphia. During the Christmas season, Greg may be seen in the Radio City Christmas Show in NYC.

Emily Rozek Emily has recently sung and danced in the Tony Award winning Broadway Show, "Thoroughly Modern Millie ." She understudied the lead role of "Millie" and performed in the lead several time during 2003. A graduate of Boston Conservatory, she has toured in "Sunset Boulevard," performed with the Boston Pops, and appeared on Broadway in "Annie Get Your Gun." Emily has recently returned from the touring company of "South Pacific," starring Robert Goulet, where she played the part of Nellie. We apologize for the poor quality of Emily's picture above but this copy was 'cropped' from an original "Millie Showbill". Continue to 'break a leg' Emily; we're all very proud of you....Helene.
